Fees

How much does PingBusiness charge per transaction?

A flat 5% platform fee on total order value, deducted automatically at checkout. No fixed per-transaction fee, no monthly fee, no setup fee, no test-mode charge, and it's the same rate for one-time and subscription payments, all payment methods, and domestic or international buyers.

What's included in the 5% platform fee?

  • Payment acceptance and processing via licensed partners
  • Hosted checkout, subscription billing, and receipts
  • Calculation, collection, and remittance of indirect tax (VAT/GST/sales tax)
  • Fiat ↔ digital asset conversion fee from customers to merchant
  • Fraud screening and transaction monitoring
  • Dashboard, reporting, and API access

How does checkout location affect the taxes my customers pay?

Your checkout location setting decides the indirect tax treatment. It defaults to Hong Kong, which applies no VAT/GST/sales tax on digital products, so buyers pay exactly your listed price. Switching to another country applies that country's indirect tax at checkout - collected from the buyer and remitted by PingBusiness at no extra cost to you. Your 5% fee never changes based on checkout location; you're still responsible for your own income tax.

Are there any settlement fees?

Two, depending on how you get paid: a network gas fee (passed through at cost) for USDC settlement to your wallet, and the partner's published rate for fiat off-ramp withdrawals, disclosed before you opt in.

What other potential fees should I know about?

  • Refund issue - No extra incurred fees as platform fees will be returned in full
  • Chargeback / payment dispute - US$15 per dispute, plus the disputed amount deducted from your balance
  • Currency conversion at checkout - Per the partner's published rates
  • Change of settlement - Free (subject to re-verification)

What's the difference between my Retail Price and what I actually get paid?

Your Retail Price is what the buyer pays. What you receive is that amount minus the 5% platform fee and any other permitted deductions (like a chargeback fee, if applicable) - all excluding indirect tax, which passes through separately. PingBusiness gives you reporting on sales, fees, and payouts so this is easy to track.

Does PingBusiness hold back a reserve from my payments?

PingBusiness may hold a portion of your revenue as a rolling reserve, released after a set period, sized to your risk profile, refund/chargeback history, product category, or requirements from its banking and payment partners. This protects against the fact that USDC settlements are irreversible while buyer payments can still be refunded or charged back after the fact.

Why do new merchant accounts have a settlement holding period?

New accounts carry an initial holding period before funds settle, mainly to cover the window in which a buyer payment could still be refunded or disputed - since a stablecoin transfer, once sent on-chain, can't be reversed the way a bank transaction can.
