Can customers pay with a credit card and I receive stablecoins?

Yes, that's exactly how PingBusiness works. Buyers pay via card, e-wallet, or local methods through a payment partner network; PingBusiness converts the proceeds to USDC and settles them to your self-custodial wallet. Buyers never have to interact with USDC directly.

What is USDC?

USDC is a regulated stable digital currency issued by Circle, backed 1:1 by US dollar reserves, designed to hold a steady value rather than fluctuate like most digital assets. It's PingBusiness's settlement currency because it lets merchants receive dollar-equivalent funds anywhere in the world instantly with extremely low fees.

What are the benefits of receiving payment in USDC vs. local currency?

Local currency settlement exposes you to FX volatility, conversion fees at each payout stage, and SWIFT/correspondent-bank delays. USDC settles on-chain into your own wallet - a reliable store of value if you're in a market with currency volatility or limited banking access, without needing a USD bank account.

Is USDC the only settlement currency?

Yes, regardless of how or where your buyer paid.

Is settlement instant?

Not yet. It follows our payment partners’ standard card-clearing timeline - typically a few business days - before PingBusiness converts and sends USDC to your wallet. This is still faster than traditional cross-border rails, and near-instant settlement is a roadmap goal as PingBusiness builds its own treasury.

Am I responsible for keeping my wallet secure?

Yes. You control the custody and security of your own wallet and private keys - that's what "self-custodial" means. PingBusiness isn't liable for losses from a lost key or a compromised wallet on your end.

What if USDC loses its peg or becomes unavailable?

USDC and other digital assets carry inherent risks such as peg deviation, issuer risk, or network issues, and you bear that risk once funds are in your wallet. If paying in USDC becomes impractical or the peg deviates significantly, PingBusiness may instead pay you in Hong Kong dollars or US dollars at its discretion, which fully settles the payment obligation.
