What personal information does PingBusiness collect from me as a merchant?

Account details (name, email, phone, and business info for company accounts), identity verification details (ID, selfie, date of birth, address), tax information (tax ID and residency self-certification), and your settlement details (wallet address or bank details). Standard log/device data (IP, browser, pages visited, cookies) is also collected automatically.

Does PingBusiness sell my data?

No. PingBusiness doesn't sell personal information.

Who does PingBusiness share my data with?

Payment partners to process payments and disputes; a settlement partner, a FINTRAC-registered money services business in Canada, to convert funds and handle stablecoin settlement; compliance providers for identity, sanctions, and blockchain-analytics screening; standard service providers like hosting and support vendors; and regulators, tax authorities, or law enforcement where required by law.

Are blockchain transactions private?

No, settlement transactions are recorded on public blockchains. Wallet addresses and on-chain amounts are public by design and can't be deleted, even by PingBusiness.

How long does PingBusiness keep my information?

Identity, screening, tax, and transaction records are kept for at least 6 years after your relationship with PingBusiness ends, as required by anti-money-laundering and tax rules - these can't be deleted earlier, even on request. Other account information is deleted or anonymized once it's no longer needed.

What are my privacy rights?

You can request access to and correction of your personal information, and opt out of marketing, at any time. If you're in the EEA or UK, GDPR also gives you rights to erasure, restriction, portability, and objection - though the retention rules above may limit some of these.

Does PingBusiness use cookies?

Yes - essential cookies for login, security, and fraud prevention, and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand usage. Non-essential cookies can be declined in your browser or the cookie banner.
